Our bodies are wise beyond comprehension. We have an intricate nervous system that, when functioning optimally, keeps us safe and keeps all body systems running smoothly. However, life can often leave us in a state of dysregulation. This can show up as physical pain, tension, or as emotional imbalances. Stress in all its forms gets stored in the body as memory held tension. Through trauma sensitive bodywork, Somatic Experiencing principles, and customized private yoga sessions we can begin to guide the body back to its optimal functioning. I will support your body and your nervous system to do its own healing. My hope is that I can help you to return to a state of ease in the body and in the mind.
It’s my goal to make my clients feel safe, heard, and understood, and I would be honored to be a part of your wellness journey. I am especially passionate about working with the recovery community because I have seen first hand how much pain and suffering can happen when people are unable or unwilling to get the help they need. I have also seen how powerful it can be when someone decides to examine patterns that do not serve them, and they have the tools and support available to them to truly heal. Even when things feel helpless or when we have been victim to our patterns for a long time, there is always limitless potential for change. Underlying any addictive behavior is usually a history of trauma, and in order for the superficial behaviors to get better, there is deep healing that needs to be facilitated. There will never be any judgement from me, only love and appreciation that you decided to take care of yourself.
